TESTIMONIALS
The flying trapeze is not unlike rock climbing: a great work out, tremendously rewarding, builds confidence, and dissolves fear in a socially friendly atmosphere. However, unlike rock climbing, the flying trapeze provides you a net!

I had never been on the trapeze before, but the instructors were extremely professional and encouraging; their enthusiasm was contagious. I don't see
how anyone could go for one class and not want to come back.

Friendly, accepting, and laid-back crowd of instructors and students. A perfect way to spend an afternoon.

The Sky Is My Home
by Faith Barr
I climb with the desire to transform dreams into a jaunt through space.
My fingers clench the inspiration wrapped ladder while my trusty feet propel me up
Where gravity loosens her hold and I am tethered to Helios.
When the rungs evaporate I clamor higher still to stand on a narrow circus board.
There is now one sole escape -
Like a baby bird, this is my moment to fly.
My friends beek in the August wildflower field.
Surrounding us is the morning, fresh and warm.
Below the net billows and I greet her as a mother, knowing I must trust her hold.
I grip the bar with determination when suddenly my unbending legs feel flooded with titanium.
My resolve sinks away in buttery bubbles like apricot jam.
Patient coaches lure me back to the height and I remember to breathe.
Imagining myself as a piquant glider my feet dive into the rabbit hole.
For this moment alone fantasy morphs into truth.
My body rides a courageous arc of ecstasy.
Buoyant, my wings spread wide and I push into the wind.
Exhausted and light I drop into the welcoming net.
I thank the softness and my body, grateful to have flown.
A few weeks ago, my daughter decided that she wanted to have her 11th birthday party at the Trapeze Club. Since we had heard great things about the Trapeze Club from some of her friends that take classes there, I figured we would give it a try. I waited until the morning of the party to print out the waiver that I needed to sign and bring with me in order for my daughter to participate. Well, after reading the waiver, I was in full-blown panic mode. The waiver was very intimidating. It mentioned injury, even death could occur. Ahhhh! What could I do? I couldn't cancel the party on such short notice. The girls would be crushed. So, with my heart pounding out of my chest, we headed for the Trapeze Club. In the back of my mind I kept thinking, "Her friends come here for classes. They must have had to sign a similar waiver and they keep coming back. It'll be okay. Please, Lord, let it be okay." Once we arrived, trying to figure out where to park was a little stressful, but I have to tell you - that was the only stress I felt the entire time! As soon as I meet the staff, I felt immediately at ease. They were friendly and knowledgeable, and it was clear that safety was their first priority. The equipment was in excellent condition and the staff made it very clear to the girls that there were rules so that everyone would be safe. It was a great experience and I'm so glad we didn't "chicken out". The instructors were so encouraging and supportive. There was one girl in our party who was very reluctant to "fly", but after some coaxing from the staff, she reluctantly climbed the up ladder to the platform. I wish you could have seem the huge smile on her face as she went swinging through the air. It was an amazing party - one that my daughter will never forget. It was so obvious that each girl left with more self-confidence and improved self-esteem. They were so proud of what they had just done. The instructors were fabulous with the kids and I plan to bring my Girl Scouts sometime this Fall. It was a great experience. As it turned out, there was nothing to be afraid of. I'm so glad we did it!
