What Should I Expect?
A fun two hour class!
What Should I Wear?
Comfortable clothing, such as yoga & climbing apparel. You don't have to
wear tights, but you can. Don't wear clothing that is difficult to move in,
or anything dangly that could get snagged. Often, in your first class, you will
be trying "knee hangs". You may want to wear pants to protect the
backs of your knees. We fly barefoot (or in socks if you prefer). You may want
to wear shoes that are easy to get on and off, as there are often bees in the
grass. Please remove all jewelry prior to flying. You will be landing on your
back in the cooshy net, so be sure not have clips on the back of your head,
or anything that could get caught in the net.
What Should I Know?
Classes are weather dependent. When the weather is uncertain, we usually wait
until one hour before the scheduled class time to cancel. In the case of uncertain
weather and if you are traveling a distance, you may cancel your preregistration
at the last minute. All other preregistered participants are required to give
24 hour notice before canceling, or they must pay the regular class fee. We
do not have a building on site we do have a porta potty. Lyme Disease is a real
concern, please check yourself for ticks after each class. Please let us know
if you have any allergies or injuries.
What Should I Bring?
Please bring cameras, water, snacks, spectators, & athletic tape (if you need it). We do encourage picnics but please be sure to keep all food away from the trapeze equipment. Make sure to remove your spotting belt before eating. We have some chairs but you may want to bring a blanket to stretch out on. If you are under 18 years of age you need to bring signed waivers.
Is Trapeze Safe?
Flying Trapeze is much safer than driving. We go to great lengths to protect our flyers! Here are some guidelines to keep it that way. Please be sure not to have any lotion on your hands or wrists before the class! Sunblock and bugblocks are important to wear but please wash your hands before arriving, we do not have a hand washing station on site. All clients, photographers and spectators need to know the boundaries of the trapeze and understand where it is unsafe to stand. Please stand back from the trapeze rigging! All children and pets must be attended carefully. No one is permitted on the rig without key personnel.
